Dassault Aviation sets the course for state-of-the-art warehouse
System automation for optimized processes
Dassault Aviation, a French manufacturer of business jets and military aircraft, has selected viastore to automate its warehouse in Argonay (Haute-Savoie, France). Commissioning is scheduled to take place in April 2017.
The viastore solution, a goods-to-person system, offers 39,000 storage locations. To ensure the best possible working conditions for their employees, Dassault Aviation attaches great importance to ergonomic workstations. The warehouse is managed using the viadat WMS which is connected to Dassault Aviation's ERP system. In addition to standard functions, such as goods receipt and goods issues, and management of storage locations and inventory, viadat will also allow the grouping of items from the same aircraft program in one load unit so as to make picking easier, faster and highly reliable.
"In viastore, we have found a partner who provides innovative and customized solutions that are perfectly tailored to our needs," says Marc Fontaine, who is responsible for the project at Dassault Aviation. "The visitation of the reference system from Stäubli in Faverges has further solidified our decision."
