viastore at CeMAT 2016: Get a live experience of Smart Supply Chain Solutions
At CeMAT 2016, the world's leading trade show of intralogistics and supply chain management (31 May to 3 June, Hannover), the viastore group presents innovative technology that you can touch, try and experience. At a booth of approx. 3,000 square feet, visitors can interactively inspect solutions from the two business divisions viastore SYSTEMS and viastore SOFTWARE and see them live in action. This makes the numerous benefits – from reduced logistics costs to increased productivity and flexibility – even more obvious to the user.
viastore plans and implements tailor-made solutions that help customers efficiently integrate their warehousing and production processes, resulting in significantly reduced logistics costs per shipped unit. A 360 degree video will help CeMAT visitors experience what such a warehouse system looks like: Users can navigate through a logistics center using a tablet and can carefully examine individual components and processes. Other visitors can follow the digital tour on a huge LED wall.
A virtual journey into intralogistics
Virtual Reality (VR) takes the visitors even deeper into the fascinating world of intralogistics: VR glasses turn the environment of high racks and automated warehouse technology into reality, enabling the user to experience different types of pick stations such as goods-to-person, person-to-goods or pick tunnels, among others.
Users can also examine the viastore solutions at their booth in the traditional way. The viastore viaspeed mini-load AS/RS with its innovative 2-/4-deep load handling device for handling containers and cartons of different sizes, the high performance shuttle system viaflex2, space-saving shuttle system viaflex3, and a viastore pallet shuttle that enables operators of beverage or frozen storage warehouses to apply multiple-deep storage for space savings plus other exhibits will be on hand.
Outdated intralogistics systems can be modernized even during productive operation. viastore’s comprehensive problem-solving expertise in this field from decades of experience will be on display at the "Retrofit Interactive" kiosk. Visitors can track the stages of a system modernization by means of a movable monitor. They can see how such projects can be handled while a facility remains operational.
Optimizing the supply chain with standard software
As for software, viastore will also present some exciting innovations at CeMAT – in particular the latest version of their viadat Warehouse Management System (WMS). It offers an efficient, well-proven and future-proof possibility to manage and control the entire scope of intralogistics. viadat 9.0 features an optimized user interface that is even easier and more intuitive than before. This speeds up training and allows new workers to become productive sooner. The WMS also features additional KPI tools for extensive data evaluation and analysis. This offers a great potential to design the planning and the workflows of intralogistics even more efficient. Booth visitors can test the new viadat and execute different pick processes by means of a tablet, mobile data capturing, pick-by-light, pick-by-voice or pick-by-vision (data glasses).
viastore also has a substantial know-how concerning the connection and the management of technologies and processes in the standard software solutions from SAP. As a consultant, service provider and supplier of SAP-based intralogistic solutions, viastore specializes in technologies and add-ons for warehouse logistics – and has been doing so for 20 years. An important topic at CeMAT is the combination of the modern and future-proof Warehouse Management System SAP EWM with the database system SAP HANA. It helps companies to accelerate their supply chains by up to 50 percent. To illustrate the advantages of their software solutions in an impressive way, viastore has installed the "Software Experience Point" inviting visitors to test and try the software extensively.
Get a live experience of the problem-solving expertise of the hotline
Beyond, viastore displays its reliability as a family-run company in a particular way and brings its high service competence to life at the booth. A member of the customer hotline will receive and solve calls from customers live during the trade show. The visitors can follow on the screen how the expert connects to the system and helps the customer. The viastore hotline is available 24/7, 365 days a year. The viastore service department also performs tasks of preventive maintenance. viastore will introduce a new monitoring tool for complete systems and IT systems, which helps viastore to automatically monitor customer systems for errors, in particular of hard disks, memories, processes or mechanical components, and to analyze the data gained. That way, the availability, performance and productivity of a system can be increased significantly.
viastore's cooperation partners also participate in the interactive trade show presentation: viastore and Hänel Büro- und Lagersysteme GmbH jointly will exhibit a storage carousel that is controlled by SAP via a SOAP interface. The IT and logistics specialist PureLoX Solutions presents various add-ons for the viadat WMS, including a reporting tool, an accounting tool, and an interface manager. Moreover, viastore provides information about its employee training offers: The campaign "Are You A Talent?" will be launched to inspire young people to start a career in the intralogistics industry.
